Beginnings The annals of Oklahoma’s history fairly
sizzle with stories of women whose courage, faith, determination, and
perseverance built homes, schools, churches, businesses, brought culture and the
arts …civilization itself into one of the last frontiers.
All these women, all these stories need to be preserved for the future!

women have played prominent roles in our state’s first one hundred years as
patrons of the arts, philanthropists, business women, educators, artists
themselves; their accomplishments have helped make Oklahoma what it is today.
This
exhibit has been created to honor all these women and make sure that their
