Meet the Ladies of

Oklahoma Women in History

An Oklahoma Centennial Project

Woolaroc Museum, Bartlesville

The exhibit was displayed at Woolaroc for their holiday celebrations from November 16th through January 6th. Frank Phillips’ well-known ranch retreat is home to the world renowned Woolaroc Museum and Game Preserve. A destination for family outings year round, it is especially beautiful during the holidays. The Festival of Lights offers a drive through wonderland of over 600,000 lights (plus entertainment) throughout the Christmas season. Thanks to the collaboration between Woolaroc and the Tallgrass Doll Club, the Oklahoma Women in History were a part of the festivities! They were especially at home in this historical setting!

After the exhibit completed, the artist received the following note from the director of the musuem:

We were very pleased and proud to host the Oklahoma Women in History exhibit during the 2007 Holiday season. The quality of both the dolls and their presentation was outstanding. Each and every time I went to check on the ladies, I could barely get in the door for the numbers of men and women who were in the gallery. Even on the very last day we had the exhibit open, one of our docents brought his wife to see the show and couldn’t get her to leave. Thank you for allowing us to host this wonderful group of charming Oklahomans.
